ADHD Assessment
The Process
An ADHD assessment is very similar to an educational assessment. This is because the signs of ADHD and the behaviours linked to learning difficulties or learning disorders often look alike. It’s also common for ADHD and learning disorders to occur together, which is why the assessment process explores both areas.
If your child is in Kindergarten or Year 1 the assessment process will not involve the learning assessment component.
Standardised questionnaires completed by parents and teachers are also an important part of the ADHD assessment process.
