Are you concerned about your infant/toddler/preschooler's development?

 

ND Child Psychology will soon offer developmental assessments for infants up to 6 years. Kimberly is a registered Griffiths III Mental Development Scales user.

 

The Griffiths III is a restricted test available only to holders of Association for Research in Infant and Child Development (ARICD) Certificate of Registration users.  The scales measure development trends which are significant for intelligence, or indicative of functional mental growth in babies and young children. The Griffiths III is a child friendly, play oriented measure for assessing the rate of development in infants from birth to six years.

• social skills (ability to make/keep friends);

• emotional regulation (ability to effectively manage and respond to an emotional experience);

• cognitive abilities (brain-based skills needed for planning, problem-solving, reasoning);

• executive functioning (ability to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and successfully juggle multiple tasks);

• learning (reading, writing, spelling, maths);

• behaviour (defiance, temper tantrums, inattention, hyperactivity);

• and/or mood (anxiety, low mood, depression).
