NEURODIVERSE CHILD PSYCHOLOGY
WELCOME
ND Child Psychology specialises in providing neurodevelopmental assessments for children in a supportive, affirming, and family-centred way. Our approach celebrates neurodiversity — recognising that every child thinks, learns, and experiences the world differently.
Kimberly Edwards
Psychologist

Kimberly is a Registered Psychologist, an Educational & Developmental Psychologist (registrar), and the founder of NeuroDiverse Child Psychology.

With specialised training in neurodevelopmental assessment, Kimberly holds a Graduate Certificate in Autism Diagnosis and a Master’s degree in Educational and Developmental Psychology (Advanced). She is also an accredited user of the Griffiths-III, a tool designed to assess the developmental progress of infants and children.

The name NeuroDiverse Child Psychology reflects Kimberly’s commitment to a neuroaffirming approach. Neurodiversity acknowledges the natural variation in how brains work and recognises that both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals bring equal value to the world.

Kimberly enjoys working with children of all ages, with a particular focus on developmental, cognitive, learning, behavioural, and autism assessments. Her goal is to provide insights that empower families and schools to better understand and support each child.

Kimberly is a psychologist who is also neurodivergent (late identified), which brings both insight and a few quirks into her work. She is deeply empathetic, highly attuned to emotional nuance, and not especially fond of uncertainty—or busy cafés with several conversations happening at once. Kimberly thrives in calm, one-to-one spaces, where clarity, gentleness, and genuine connection matter most. Her approach is shaped by lived understanding of overwhelm, difference, and what it feels like to finally be understood.

Outside of her professional role, Kimberly loves spending time in nature with her family and friends.
